Karte2.jpg (230305 Byte) In Austria, near the border to Italy, a new sculpture park has been initiated. It belongs to the small village Pfunds and it is managed by the Tourist Association, the Miar society and the State Forests of Austria. The area, at 1800 meters above sea level, covers about 100 000 square meters. There one finds the biggest forests with cembra pines of the Alps. The distance from Pfunds to the sculpture park are 10 km. After 7 km the visitor finds a parking place. From there it is a half an hour walk to the exhibition. Karte1.jpg (189951 Byte)

I know an Ash tree....
Limestone engravings in old German-Celtic letters

"Eine Esche weiss ich, sie heisst Yggdrasil, die Hohe, umhüllt von hellem Nebel. Von dort kommt der Tau, der in die Täler fällt. Immergrün steht sie am Urdbrunnen."
I know an ash tree, its name is Yggdrasil, the high one, surrounded by light fog. From there the dew arrives, falling into the valley. Evergreen it stands at the spring, old as the hills.

At Primitive Times...
Limestone engravings in old German-Celtic letters

"Urzeit war es, da nichts noch war. Nicht war Sand noch See noch Salzwogen. Nicht Erde unten noch oben Himmel. Gähnung grundlos, doch Gras nirgends."
At primitive times, nothing existed, neither sand nor sea nor salty waves. Neither earth below nor heaven above. Bottomless yawning, nowhere grass.
